Ahead of the November 19 launch, preloading for digital pre-orders is expected to open on November 12, 2026. Preload lets you download the game in advance so it is ready to play the moment it unlocks.
What to expect, based on how Rockstar and the console stores usually handle launches:
- Only digital pre-orders can preload; physical buyers install from disc on launch day.
- The unlock is tied to midnight local time, so your exact play time depends on your region.
- File size is unconfirmed; ensure you have ample SSD space free.
